To Paris

About this issue

Maison Berthillon, recommended by our Food FlirtWelcome to the Wild Writing Women magazine. This first, experimental issue will evolve through the month of June as the Wild Writing Women travel to Paris, then to Le Lavandou to meet Maureen Wheeler for our annual retreat, then on again, en mass, to Marseille--which we hear is France's hippest new hot spot.

Carla King, our Web Dom and Gear columnist, has secured Internet service for France from RoadPost cellular and Internet, and so we'll be updating this magazine through June as we explore France. So stay tuned.

In the meantime, we've seeded this first draft of the magazine with stories of our previous experiences in Paris as well as basic tips for making travel arrangements, selecting gear and clothing, media recommendations, and regular columns for your entertainment.

Jacqueline Harmon Butler, our Food Flirt, has posted a list of favorite Paris restaurants, and will be reporting on new restaurant experiences during our trip. More about Jacqueline.

Lisa Alpine has posted a Getaways piece on Paris' Marais district, the bargain fashion capital of the city. More about Lisa.

Cathleen Miller has already posted a Miller To Go column from London, her first destination after selling her Napa hacienda for life on the road. More about Cathleen.

Carla King has put together a list of all you need to stay connected in France in her Gear and Gadgets column, from cell phone rental to laptop computer, from gear alarms to digital cameras. More about Carla.

During all of June we'll be updating the magazine with content about Paris. July's focus? The South of France, including the Riviera and Marseille.
